Trunk (2005-6)

Trunk is a photographic series based on studies of Vancouver park trees. In this suite of photographs,
'distractions' of the environs are removed using a blue screen.
This work grew out of a production technique that Fiona used in the production of Flow to integrate
images. "I began shooting these subjects for their own sake. The blue screen was used in situ - only natural
light was used".

Trunk (1) features multiple shots of a single tree trunk (identified by GPS locations) taken at different points
around its girth. The unlikely, seemingly disparate formations in each image cause the viewer to consider that each
image might be an image a different tree. as seen at Pendulum Gallery
