Galaxies was created as an installation in 2017 at the Or Gallery, curated by Weiyi Chang.
The video features Microbes, plankton, small crustateans and Gasterosteus aculeatus fish (3 spined Sticklebacks) feeding on them.
The original footage was captured in 2013 from the Live camera feed uploading from Surface. Surface (2010-2013) was commissioned by the City of Vancouver, under the project section Marking and Mapping, through its Olympic and Paralympic Public Art Program for 2010, where artists were invited to propose projects based on sites of their own choosing.
